Shindig was born out of frustration — spreadsheets, sticky notes, and email chains are not a system. We built the tool we wish existed.
Shindig grew out of a real catering operation that was managing hundreds of events a year through a patchwork of spreadsheets, email templates, and calendar reminders. The team was spending as much time on administration as they were on the actual events.
We built the first version of this software specifically for that operation — an internal tool to handle inquiry intake, client matching, contract generation, and Google Calendar sync. The results were immediate: response times dropped, nothing fell through the cracks, and the team finally had a single source of truth.
After refining the product over two years in a live catering operation, we turned it into a platform that any catering company can use. Shindig is the software we wish we had from day one.
